Apple is officially sending out invites for it’s October 13th event Hi, Speed. The company is set to unveil the next-generation iPhone 12 on October 13 at 10 a.m. PT. The event will not be a physical event but a virtual event like WWDC 2020 and Apple’s September 2020 event, where Apple announced the all-new iPad Air and iOS 14.
“Hi, Speed” tagline suggests a high-performance device, but we can deduce a lot from this simple tagline. Can it be a higher refresh rate display or A14 Bionic chipset or a 5G enabled iPhone? We never know. But the rumors and leaks suggest that Apple is skipping 5G and high refresh rate display this year. However, the iPhone 12 will surely get the fastest ever A14 Bionic chipset, surpassing many Intel processors. Promising, right?
Not only this, but Apple might also bring back Touch ID along with Face ID, so that will be a killer combination. A new size is also expected to arrive, which means four new iPhones might come this year. Of course, they will have different pricing and specs. It is also rumored that the new iPhone will get an iPad Pro makeover.
- iPhone 12 mini: 5.4-inches
- iPhone 12: 6.1-inches
- iPhone 12 Pro: 6.1-inches
- iPhone 12 Pro Max: 6.7-inches
Another guess for the event is LIDAR technology’s addition to the new iPhones for better AR support. Apple included a LIDAR sensor in iPad Pro, making it better to detect surfaces and objects for better augmented-reality support.
Other announcements are expected to be of AirPods Studio, AirTags, and other smaller announcements related to the company.
