Apple updates 13-inch MacBook Pro with the all-new Magic Keyboard, double storage, and performance boost from the last MacBook Pro. The new 2020 MacBook Pro has faster graphics performance with 10th-generation processors.

MacBook 2020 has 80% faster performance than the predecessor and has 16GB 3733MHz memory standard on select models. The new MacBook Pro has a 13-inch Retina display with Touch Bar, Touch ID, all-day-battery life, latest macOS, stereo speakers, and quad-core processors. The design of the MacBook Pro remains the same and starts at $1,299 ($1,199 for education). Other than all these features, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 comes preinstalled with macOS Catalina.

1. Performance Boost

MacBook Pro notebooks are known for their performance. These notebooks are designed for pro users and come with high-end specs. 2020 MacBook Pro now has 10th-gen quad-core Intel Core processors with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz. It is 2.8 times faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with a dual-core processor.

The new notebook comes with an Intel Iris Plus Graphics to deliver 80 perfect faster graphics performance for 4K editing over previous-gen MacBook Pro. The integrated graphics chipset also allows users to connect their notebooks to Pro Display XDR at 6K resolution.

Speaking of the memory, the new MacBook 2020 also has faster memory with an option to select a 32GB RAM option in a 13-inch MacBook Pro for the first time. This performance boost makes running virtual machines even better with up to 50% faster performance when editing gigapixel images in Photoshop.

2. Double Storage

MacBook Pro 2020 now has faster SSDs with up to 3.0GB/s sequential read speeds. It has double the storage of the previous MacBook Pro, starting at 256 GB storage for the base model and can upgrade up to 1TB storage. The storage capacity doesn’t end here; pro users can also upgrade the storage up to 4TB SSD.

Apple recently changed the MacBook Air keyboard to Magic Keyboard, which offers a better typing experience. With the new keyboard upgrade, Apple also brought the physical Escape key back along with Touch Bar and Touch ID support.
