A feature in Google Chrome lets you run a safety check to ensure that the browser is up to date, the passwords saved aren’t compromised, safe browsing is enabled, and the extensions you are using are not harmful. You can run this feature in Chrome and check all these in just one click.

  • Navigate and click “Safety check”
  • Run the Safety check and wait till the process is complete
  • Proceed according to the results you see

Follow these simple steps to start safety check process in Chrome

Open Google Chrome “Settings”

Find and click the three dots menu on the upper right corner of the window and click “Settings.”

Navigate and click “Safety check”

Click “Safety check” or manually enter chrome://settings/safetyCheck in the address bar.

Run the Safety check and wait till the process is complete

Proceed according to the results you see

If any of the safety check feature asks you to check a particular thing, proceed accordingly.
