To make things easy, hiding the last seen helped, but hiding online and the last seen wasn’t available on WhatsApp yet.
Then I remembered, that WhatsApp now officially lets you hide ‘online’ and ‘seen’ from other people in WhatsApp. So, instead of installing GB WhatsApp to hide ‘Online and last seen,’ which can compromise your data, do it from the built-in feature.

1. Tap the three dots menu in the upper right corner
Open WhatsApp and find and tap the three dots menu from the top right corner of the app.
2. Open WhatsApp Settings
From the menu, tap Settings and it’ll take you to the WhatsApp settings page.
3. In WhatsApp Settings, click ‘Privacy’
Find and tap ‘Privacy’ in WhatsApp Settings to explore further options.
4. Tap ‘Last seen and online’ under Privacy options
Under ‘Who can see my personal info’ tap ‘Last seen and online.’
5. Under ‘Last seen and online,’ select ‘Nobody’
To hide online and last seen on WhatsApp, choose the desired settings as per your needs. My choice was that nobody could see when I was online or last seen on WhatsApp, that’s why I selected ‘Nobody.’
6. Now, choose ‘Same as last seen’ for the online option
Now choose ‘Same as last seen’ in ‘Who can see when I’m online.’ You can also hide your online and last seen from a single person, such as your girlfriend, boyfriend, friends, family, or even colleagues.
Note: If you hide your last seen and online status, you can’t see other people’s last seen and online.
