That’s a huge drop from 113.7 million as noted by our team back in March 2023. Before this, Justin was the second most-followed personality on Twitter, later replaced by Elon Musk.
Justin Bieber used to have 114.1 million followers on Twitter back on August 1, 2022, however, it seems most followers were lost after a crackdown on Twitter’s bot accounts after Musk’s takeover. Justin also faced a slight drop in his followers by 200K as he recently sold rights to his music in a $200m deal.

Trump wasn’t using his Twitter and was using his personal social media app, Truth Social. On August 25, Trump tweeted for the first time in 3 years after getting arrested. He shared his mug shot, which has gotten a record number of post views (263.4M) and likes (1.7M).
His account was reinstated by new Twitter owner Elon Musk after being suspended for two years. Trump currently has 87.3 million followers on Twitter as of September 2023.
The previous Twitter administration banned Trump for tweets against their policies. However, the decision seemed more political than just an administrative one. After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk, the new Chief Twitt, had a poll on his Twitter profile, where, millions of people voted in favor of Trump, resulting in reinstating Trump’s Twitter account.

Regardless, she still has an Instagram account where she has 374 million followers, making her 7th most followed Instagram personality.
10. Lady Gaga | 83.9 Million Followers
Our Twitter followers ranking isn’t complete without Lady Gaga, sitting at number tenth, she now has 83.9 million followers with a drop of around a million followers since February 2023. Back in Feb, she had 84.9 million followers, however, the recent drop shows that it may be all bots that were lost in Twitter’s bot wipe operation.
