Oppo will announce its new flagship smartphone, Find X2 next week. Previously the company has planned an MWC 2020 launch event in Barcelona; however, GSMA canceled the event over health concerns in fear of Coronavirus. Several companies also pulled out of MWC 2020 before the cancellation.
Now, Oppo is holding an event online on March 6th. Last year’s flagship from Oppo was an ambitious take on what a smartphone can do. Find X had a motorized module for the selfie camera and 3D facial unlock. Oppo has been focusing on other series like Reno and Find series was undermined somewhere, but seems like Oppo is gearing up for a big reveal now.
A tweet from marketing VP, Brian Shen hints that the new Find X2 will have a “3K” display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Since the high-refresh-rate displays are getting in trend already, Oppo isn’t going to miss the opportunity to grab the attention of tech geeks. It’s still unclear what other specs we will be getting and to ‘Find’ out, you can tune in at 4.30 am ET on March 6th.
